Responsibilities:
- Manage design/architecture and implementation of enterprise service platforms
- Implement better monitoring
- Learn release process
- Automation/orchestration
- Configuration management
- Provide support to development delivery teams across IT.
- End user computing environment ownership
Including architecture and support of applications and productivity tools
- Develop subject matter expertise of application technology stack and system implementation
- Support delivery of applications and business services through understanding of the technology stack as a whole.
- Learn the workflow of the application including application and data interdependencies
- Internal DevOps cross training, development delivery team cross training and externally provided specific training
- Support L3 application escalations by providing work around and escalate issues to development team
- Timely resolution
- Handle on call rotation
- Learn and improve operations of systems and products
- Understand agile organization of development team and attend ceremonies
- Learn development techniques and practices including scripting experience with languages such as powershell, perl, REST, JSON, Bash and Java Script
- Develop an understanding of DevOps practices and concepts such as Infrastructure as Code, configuration management and Continuous integration
- Work to improve Dev Ops tool sets
- Implementation of technology best practice use
- Monitor, automate and enterprise system platforms
- Partner effectively with team members
- Build foundation for system fundamentals: AD, security, etc.
- Build understanding of Clients specific business processes
- Build understanding of application end user computing issues
Requirements:
- BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a similar technical subject, or three (??) or more years of related work experience
- Strong analytical and research skills - must be detail oriented
- Demonstrated understanding of NAS, SAN, CIFS, NFS, TCP/IP, LDAP, SSH, DNS, SMTP, load balancing and troubleshooting
- Has worked in a multi-datacenter infrastructure environment. Understands conceptually networking in that type of environment.
- Experience implementing, managing and maintaining large scale (1000+ VM's) virtualized environments
- Demonstrate strong scripting capability around systems integration and management
- Strong understanding of application virtualization / delivery systems
- Experience with multiple monitoring methodologies, WMI, SSH, agent based, SNMP and push pull concepts
- Experience with infrastructure as code development techniques and tools such as TFS, GIT repo's, forking, branching, and pull requests
- Experience implementing and using configuration management tools such as System Center, Puppet, Chef or Ansible
- Use of continuous integration tools and techniques such as TFS release manager and Jenkins
- SQL and Oracle query coding understanding to debug data errors
- Understanding of programming concepts such as Object Oriented Programming
- Open to learn new concepts in areas of technical and business process
- Capability to effectively interact with external people on technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations
- Linux administration and support experience
Preferred:

- Experience managing and maintaining Netapp and EMC storage arrays
- Scripting using powershell, perl, REST, JSON, Bash and Java Script
- Strong understanding of multiple operating systems - Linux and Windows
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency
- Experience with large VDI deployments
- Strong SOP writing and documentation for architecture and system design
- SQL and Oracle basic understanding
