Responsibilities
Develop and maintain data pipelines from diverse data vendors to gold tables for the ML team using Snowflake and Databricks. Utilize advanced Python skills to deploy and optimize data pipelines. Perform deep analysis and aggregation of financial data from private and publicpanies. Enrich financial datasets to enhance the quality andpleteness of data. Provide detailed reporting on financial data, highlighting biases and other key insights. Collaborate with the ML team to improve the machine learning training set by enhancing the coverage ofpanies withprehensive financial data. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data integration and workflow efficiency. Participate in agile development processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Education & Certificates
A bachelor's degree, required Masters or other higher degree in a STEM field, preferred Concentration inputer Science, Math, Physics or other engineering related field, preferred
Professional Experience
At least 3 years of overall relevant technical experience, required Experience in data engineering or a related discipline, with a proven track record of success, required Experience in the financial services or private equity industry, preferred
Expertise in Python and SQL, with a strong foundation in data manipulation and analysis. Proficient with Snowflake and dbt for data warehousing and transformation tasks. Experience with Databricks (PySpark) for large-scale data processing. Knowledge of graph databases and machine learning is a plus, enhancing our data analysis and insight generation capabilities. Demonstrated experience in designing and implementingplex data systems from the ground up. Proficient in handling large-scale data projects, including acquisition, ETL processes, and information retrieval. Familiarity with machine learning, especially in feature engineering for training models and inference. Previous experience in a product development or financial services environment is highly desirable. Excellentmunication skills required, both verbal and written.
Benefitspensation
Thepensation range for this role is specific to Washington, DC and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.
The anticipated base salary range for this role is $130,000 to $150,000.

Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
