Senior Data Engineer | Cloud & Pipeline Architecture

Responsibilities Data Pipeline Architecture & Development Design and manage scalable data pipelines from operational to analytical systems. Develop, test, and deploy robust data pipelines for batch and streaming data. Implement observability and monitoring for data pipelines.

Data Modeling & Quality Model data structures from staging to presentation layers for performance and usability. Validate data quality across all transformation layers and ingestion processes.

Collaboration & Communication Work with Product, Business, and Analytics teams to define data requirements and deliver new data products. Document and present pipeline architecture and design decisions.

Process Improvement & Mentorship Identify and implement process improvements to enhance scalability and efficiency. Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical oversight.

Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5-7 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on pipeline architecture and cloud platforms. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases (Postgres preferred). Proficiency in Python, Java, or Scala for data engineering tasks. Experience with structured and semi-structured data (e.g., JSON, XML). Experience with DevOps tools (Git, Jira, Confluence) and Agile methodologies. Preferred: Experience in Banking or Fintech, Kubernetes, and containerized applications.
