Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Data Engineer with a strong focus on Power BI and MS SQL Server to join our team. This role will play a critical part in developing, maintaining, and enhancing reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience working with APIs, ERP, WMS, and MES systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI, ensuring data accuracy and clarity for end users. Write and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and views in MS SQL Server to support reporting needs. Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, analyze data needs, and translate them into actionable reporting solutions. Integrate data from ERP, WMS, HRMS, and MES systems using APIs, SQL, and other connectors to ensure accurate and efficient data flow. Maintain and enhance Crystal Reports for legacy reporting needs. Ensure data integrity, perform quality checks, and troubleshoot data-related issues. Support CI (Continuous Improvement) initiatives by supporting the CI reporting processes. Document reporting processes, data sources, and data models for knowledge sharing and compliance purposes. Stay up to date with industry best practices and emerging reporting tools and technologies. Requirements: Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in a similar reporting or data analyst role. Proficient in Power BI: data modeling, DAX, Power Query, and report/dashboard design. Strong experience with MS SQL Server: query writing, performance tuning, and database design principles. Experience working with APIs for data extraction and integration. Familiarity with Crystal Reports and legacy reporting systems. Knowledge of ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar.), WMS, and MES systems and their reporting structures. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Azure Data Services, Power Automate, or other automation tools. Understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing concepts. SCADA and manufacturing systems exposure preferred. Syspro experience and TransLution experience are a plus. Certification in Power BI, SQL, or related analytics tools is a plus. Experience with continuous improvement (CI) environments is highly desirable.
This role is onsite, in office Monday through Friday.
