Join Amazon as a Data Engineer II in our Privacy Governance team. Our teams operate across various locations, including Seattle, WA, Austin, TX, and Iasi, Bucharest, Romania. As a Data Engineer, you will focus on creating robust data solutions that align with our long-term privacy compliance goals. You will work closely with both external customers, such as users of the Amazon Retail Website and B2B services, as well as internal teams like Legal and Customer Service. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing data products and pipelines using AWS services such as Redshift, Kinesis, EMR, and Lambda. Implementing Data Governance strategies to mitigate privacy risks and drive compliance metrics. Providing technical leadership in Data Engineering and Business Intelligence within the Privacy organization. Enhancing existing solutions and architecting next-generation data frameworks for improved scalability and security. Creating new data models and pipelines that effectively manage personal data. Collaborating with engineering teams to integrate AI and LLM models into workflows to enhance automation and efficiency. To succeed in this role, you should have: At least 3 years of experience in data engineering. Strong skills in data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines. Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, Glue, and Lambda. Familiarity with non-relational databases and data stores.
