About the role We are looking for a Data Engineer to support the Risk and Governance organization within PDPO. This role will focus on enhancing the foundational data engineering infrastructure, building automated pipelines, and integrating data from APIs to drive privacy-related insights and monitoring. Key responsibilities include: - Build scalable monitoring systems with automated alerts for privacy compliance across TikTok's product features. - Enhance and optimize current data infrastructure, improving data processing and pipeline performance. - Design and build automated pipelines for data collection, transformation, and reporting. - Develop data integrations via APIs to ensure seamless and reliable data ingestion. - Collaborate with the team to explore the integration of AI and agent-based systems into data workflows. - Conduct data investigations and analysis to detect privacy risks and support incident response. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, security, and legal) to deliver robust data solutions.
Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Analytics, Mathematics or related technical fields. - Solid programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in schema design and ETL development. - Experience with API integration and automated data pipeline design. - Hands-on experience with big data technologies (., Hive, Spark, Kafka, Flink), and familiarity with data visualization platforms (., Tableau, dashboards). - Strong problem-solving, communication and presentation skills, and self-driven work ethic. Preferred Qualifications: - Knowledge of privacy, data security, or compliance is a plus. - Familiarity with TikTok's product features is a plus.
