About the Role: As a Data Engineer in Product Analytics, you will play a vital role in enhancing our product development through data-driven strategies. Your responsibilities will include: Designing, modeling, and implementing data warehousing processes essential for the development of Meta products. Managing and executing data warehouse plans to address specific business problems. Identifying necessary data for business objectives and establishing robust logging practices to ensure data availability. Collaborating with engineers, product managers, and data scientists to gather and understand data requirements, translating insights into impactful visual representations. Building expertise in data management while ensuring compliance with privacy, security, and quality standards. Designing and launching innovative data models and visualizations in production using state-of-the-art development tools. Developing efficient extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes while mentoring colleagues on query optimization. Providing support for existing production processes and implementing optimized solutions with minimal guidance. Defining and managing service level agreements (SLAs) for data sets within your area of responsibility. Analysing diverse data-related problems to determine optimal solutions. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analytics, Applied Sciences, or a related field, followed by five years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience in the role or a relevant computer-related field. Five years of experience with custom ETL design, implementation, and maintenance. Expertise in schema design and dimensional data modeling. Proficiency in writing complex SQL statements. Ability to analyze data for deliverables, gaps, and inconsistencies, and manage communication regarding data warehouse plans with internal stakeholders. Familiarity with MapReduce or MPP systems. Compensation: The public compensation for this role ranges from $223,950/year to $235,400/year, along with bonuses, equity, and benefits.
