About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and innovative Data Engineer with at least 6 years of experience in designing and implementing large-scale data solutions. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in Databricks, a solid foundation in advanced AI technologies, and a passion for solving complex data challenges in a hybrid federal environment.
️ Key Responsibilities
Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines using Databricks and other modern tools.
Collaborate with data scientists and ML engineers to enable advanced AI-driven analytics and data science workflows.
Build and maintain robust data architectures supporting real-time and batch processing.
Apply best practices for data security, data governance, and compliance, ensuring support for federal regulations and public trust standards.
Integrate data from various structured and unstructured sources to enable high-quality business insights.
Monitor and troubleshoot performance issues, optimizing data processing jobs and systems.
Collaborate across technical and non-technical teams to gather requirements and translate business needs into data solutions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
6+ years of professional experience in data engineering roles.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
Proven expertise with Databricks, Spark, and distributed computing frameworks.
Solid experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP preferred).
Demonstrated experience with advanced AI or machine learning infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of Python, SQL, and version control systems like Git.
Experience with ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, dbt).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate in cross-functional teams.
Must be able to attain and retain Public Trust Clearance.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role, requiring occasional onsite presence based on project or client needs. Candidates must reside in the U.S. and be willing to work onsite as needed.
