Cost Engineer Mechanical Scope

What Youll Do: Analyze and negotiate subcontractor change orders and commercial terms Interpret AIA, MSA, and Work Order agreements Review cost impacts of design changes, VE proposals, and project risks Cross-reference drawings, specs, and contract documents for cost alignment Prepare presentations and reports for client review/approval Maintain and update budget trend logs and cost tracking systems Use tools like Bluebeam, Navisworks, CAD, Revit, and Trimble to support analysis Conduct quantity takeoffs and market surveys for labor/material pricing Support the cost manager with issue resolution and reporting Document and track all cost- and contract-related communications What You Bring: Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering preferred 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction or cost engineering Skilled in Excel and database software for quantity and cost tracking Familiarity with project management, document control, and cost systems Bonus Points For: Experience with semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech facility construction Bilingual (English/Korean)
