About this role:
The COO Technology organization provides technology services for the Chief Operating Office. This includes operations, control executives, strategic execution, business continuity and resiliency, data solutions and services, regulatory relations, customer experience, enterprise shared services, supply chain management, and the corporate properties group. The group provides technology solutions and manages application portfolios for these groups to support modernization and optimization.
Within this organization we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Corporate Properties Group (CPG) Technology team. The CPG team supports Corporate Properties business functions under the Chief Administrative Office. This role will support various build outs of business solutions and related analytical needs.
In this role, you will:
Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of information technology design experience including systems, applications or architecture
4+ years of experience following the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
Data warehousing experience across any of the platforms - SQL, Big data or Cloud
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Experience with building enterprise applications using Java, Workflow technologies like JBPM, Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI)
Experience with Architecture and Design of enterprise systems
Exposure to cloud technologies
Experience in Corporate Properties
Experience with SAP
Experience working in financial services organization
Knowledge of Agile / Scrum
API design and implementation experience
Java, Python, .NET development experience
Strong UI (User Interface) experience
