We are seeking a driven and experienced Permanent Controls Engineer to join our dynamic, fast-paced Engineering team. This exciting role will provide you with a unique opportunity to lead the design, development, testing, and implementation of automated control systems for our advanced manufacturing processes. You will be a key player in improving the efficiency, performance, and safety of our production lines, using your expertise in PLC programming, equipment installation, electrical engineering, and maintenance.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop new control systems to optimize our manufacturing operations. 2. Perform PLC programming to drive automation and improve the efficiency of our production lines. 3. Manage equipment installation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with all safety regulations. 4. Carry out routine maintenance and troubleshooting activities to prevent and resolve any issues with our control systems. 5. Work closely with other engineering teams to integrate control systems with other parts of our manufacturing processes. 6. Provide technical support and training to our production staff, helping them understand and operate our control systems effectively. 7. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in control engineering and automation technology, and propose ways to incorporate these into our operations. 8. Ensure all control systems adhere to industry standards and comply with all relevant regulations. 9. Document all control system designs, modifications, and maintenance activities for future reference.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the manufacturing or engineering industry. 3. Proven experience with PLC programming, equipment installation, electrical engineering, and maintenance. 4. Strong knowledge of control system theory and automation technology. 5. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex control system issues. 6. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines. 7. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable way. 8. Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently. 9. Commitment to continuous learning and development. 10. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to control systems.
