Job Title: Senior Controls Engineer Our esteemed client, based in the vicinity of Dallas, Texas, is presently in search of an adept Senior Controls Engineer with a robust skill set to innovate and optimize systems that propel enhancements in quality, productivity, and safety within their operations. This role offers a full-time, direct employment opportunity. Primary Responsibilities: Create and execute processes and systems to elevate quality, productivity, and safety standards while minimizing inefficiencies within the organization. Lead and oversee intricate controls projects, offering technical expertise and mentorship to colleagues within the team. Engage in cross-functional collaboration to launch and supervise process enhancement initiatives from conceptualization through to completion. Key Focus Areas (Top Priorities) - Technical Expertise: Mastery in advanced programming utilizing Allen Bradley PLC systems, encompassing Ladder Logic, Function Blocks, and Structured Text. Design and implementation of control and OT network architectures. Application of control engineering principles in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in VFDs and Kinetics motion control systems. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or relevant field) from an accredited institution. A minimum of 5 years' experience in industrial engineering or maintenance; individuals with over 10 years of pertinent experience may be considered even without a degree. Experience in continuous processes, preferably in aluminum extrusion or production. Demonstrated aptitude in project management and organizational capabilities. Competence in AC & DC electrical systems up to 480 volts. Proficient in Allen Bradley PLCs, RSLogix 5000, Studio 5000, and FactoryTalk View Studio. Hands-on experience with AC drives, motor controls, and Ethernet/IP networking. Familiarity with AutoCAD Electrical is advantageous. Understanding of industrial safety practices and preference for NFPA 70E knowledge. Work Schedule: This role adheres to a standard Monday to Friday timetable from 7 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime. Additionally, one evening shift every third week and participation in on-call duties one weekend per month are required.
