Mission/Position Description Summary:
The mission of a Construction Materials Project Engineer for HVJ, a leading specialty engineering firm in Texas, is to support the project manager or other staff as directed to assure client satisfaction through preparation of detailed calculations, performing engineering analyses, and completing field assignments.
Responsibilities:
Manage projects meeting HVJ SCTX financial goals and quality standards
Provide project deliverables on schedule and within budget
Assist Project Managers with project tasks that include data entry, coordination, project communication, etc.
Perform lab testing when necessary
Perform field testing when necessary
Assist with laboratory calibration and accreditation related tasks
Develop proposal for future work
Guide/Mentor junior staff
Provide client satisfaction
Assist with Business Development
Qualifications:
BSCE or MSCE with at least three to five years of directly related construction materials testing experience.
Licensed Texas EIT/PE (preferred)
Excellent written and communication skills and strong math and science skills
Valid Texas Drivers License with no history of accidents or alcohol/drug related traffic offenses and valid right to work documents
