The Applications Engineer will support customer solutions by developing and implementing CNC machining strategies for complex parts. This role involves hands-on machine setup, part processing, and technical support, with regular collaboration across engineering, sales, and customer teams.

• Assist in application engineering projects under supervision of senior staff.
  

• Participate in training programs offered internally and externally to build technical expertise.
  

• Support test cuts, demonstrations, and turnkey projects by preparing workholding and fixturing.
  

• Perform machining time studies and calculate optimal feeds and speeds for production efficiency.
  

• Program CNC machines using a combination of conversational programming, CAM software, and G-code/Macro development.
  

• Set up CNC machines with appropriate programs, tooling, workpieces, and fixturing.
  

• Conduct quality inspections of machined parts to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  

• Generate detailed technical documentation and engineering reports.
  

• Communicate frequently with internal technical teams, external suppliers, and customer representatives.
  

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering (or related field) preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
  

• 2+ years of experience in CNC machining, programming, and part processing.
  

• Strong understanding of metal cutting, machining principles, drawing interpretation, and machine setup.
  

• Familiarity with metallurgical concepts and material behavior.
  

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable interacting with both internal teams and external clients.
  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  

• Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
  

• Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
