Job Description
GAMA-1 Technologies, LLC seeks an experienced remote Cloud Systems Engineer IV to support our growing Cloud Services practice. This individual is responsible for managing relationships with external stakeholders who either provide or consume data in the enterprise cloud environment. This role involves resolving interfacing issues, planning and scheduling onboarding and offboarding processes, and collaborating with technical leads across cloud services to meet stakeholder requirements.

- Act as a primary liaison for external stakeholders who provide or consume data within the enterprise cloud environment; resolve integration issues, and plan onboarding and offboarding processes
- Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and high-performance cloud architectures in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments
- Resolve any interfacing issues that arise, ensuring minimal disruption to data flow
- Plan and schedule onboarding and offboarding processes for stakeholders, ensuring a smooth transition
- Collaborate with technical leads of each core service area to understand and meet stakeholder requirements
- Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security; proactively identify issues and implement optimizations or remediation
- Lead incident response efforts, perform root cause analyses, and execute mitigation strategies to address vulnerabilities or breaches
- Evaluate, deploy, and manage security tools such as SIEMs, EDR, DLP, IDS/IPS, and vulnerability scanners
- Advise on secure network design, Zero Trust Architecture principles, and the implementation of advanced encryption and access controls
- Work closely with clients, project managers, cloud engineers, and security teams to deliver technical solutions that align with mission and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, configuration records, and audit-ready artifacts as part of compliance and operational standards

Information Security and Confidentiality Obligations
- Ensure adherence to organizational information security policies and procedures; actively participate in mandatory security awareness training; and manage confidential and sensitive information in accordance with company protocols and data protection standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of cloud management experience
- Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures of cloud technology, including Software as Service (SaaS), Platform as Service (PaaS)
- Proven experience with refactoring of capabilities from non-cloud to cloud services
- Proven experience in stakeholder management, preferably in a data-centric environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve technical issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders
- In-depth knowledge of branching, merging, and baselining strategies
- Ability to work well with others, collaborate, and communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, CISM, or CISA
- Hands-on experience with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) implementation and related technologies
- Background in Security Operations Center (SOC) environments, including experience with incident detection, forensics, and response
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible
- Knowledge of secure coding practices and application security testing (e.g., SAST/DAST tools)
- Involvement in developing or overseeing enterprise security governance, risk management, or cloud strategy programs
- Experience working in Agile or DevSecOps environments within federal government or contractor settings

- Ability to obtain a security clearance
Work environment
- This work is fully remote, supporting a regular 40 hours in the Eastern Time Zone (EST)

- The employee is expected to demonstrate proficiency in all essential job functions, tools, and processes related to this position within the first 90 days of employment. This includes acquiring a thorough understanding of job-specific responsibilities, systems, and workflows as outlined during onboarding and training. Failure to meet this requirement may result in additional training, reassessment, or other actions as deemed necessary by management.
The base salary range for this position is: $137,946 to $194,454.
This base salary range represents a general guideline. An individual’s base salary within that range is determined based on a variety of factors, including (without limitation) the scope, complexities, and responsibilities of the position, the government contract to which the position is assigned, geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate’s relevant experience, education, and skills.
