Job Description
A mission-focused team supporting national security operations is seeking a Cloud Systems Administrator/Engineer with experience in cloud-hosted environments, particularly for Windows-based infrastructure. This position involves supporting both custom-built and third-party applications deployed in a secure, cloud environment. Work will include hands-on system administration, environment provisioning, patching, and collaboration with both internal development teams and enterprise service components.
Key Responsibilities:
Build and maintain Windows-based environments across development, testing, and production tiers.
Deploy code and software packages (custom, commercial, and government-developed) to isolated environments.
Perform patch management, system monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Coordinate with technical leads, developers, and infrastructure teams to support reliable delivery of application services.
Contribute to the modernization of existing systems using secure web and remote desktop technologies.
Required Experience:
4+ years in systems administration or cloud infrastructure (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
Active Top Secret Clearance
Security+ or other IAT II compliant certification
Familiarity with cloud infrastructure services (especially one of the leading government-authorized cloud platforms).
Hands-on experience with Windows Server and Windows Desktop OS.
Understanding of networked systems and system-level design.
Ability to work in an Agile development environment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow through on tasks.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills:
Experience supporting geospatial applications or services using spatial data standards (e.g., WMS, WFS, KML).
TS/SCI CI Poly
Hands-on familiarity with infrastructure-as-code or containerized platforms.
Experience managing cloud-native services (e.g., virtual compute instances, object storage, serverless compute).
Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and pipeline automation.
Ability to author or update system architecture documentation.
Use of collaboration platforms such as issue trackers, wikis, and chat tools.
Relevant certifications in cloud or Microsoft ecosystems are a plus.
