Overview:
We are seeking a Cloud Software Engineer with strong experience in cloud computing and big data environments to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll design, develop, and enhance complex cloud-based systems and analytics applications that operate at scale.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and maintain cloud-based big data systems Implement distributed computing solutions and object-oriented designs Deploy and manage applications in cloud environments Integrate Commercial and Government off-the-shelf (COTS/GOTS) software Analyze, resolve, and document software defects and test results Provide input on hardware/software trade-offs and system architecture Create and maintain technical documentation including data models, schemas, and APIs Required Qualifications: 8+ years in software development and engineering 6+ years with high-level languages (Java, C, C++) 4+ years working with distributed NoSQL data stores (e.g., HBase, Accumulo) 4+ years using Hadoop ecosystem tools (MapReduce, HDFS, Hive, Pig) 3+ years developing in UNIX/Linux (Red Hat 3-5+) Experience with RESTful services and Ruby on Rails Experience with serialization formats (e.g., JSON, BSON) Proven Object-Oriented design and development experience Experience integrating and extending FOSS/COTS products 3+ years in software testing and integration, including test plan development Strong technical writing and documentation skills Familiarity with source control tools (Git, Stash, Subversion, etc.) Desired Skills: Cloud scalability and deployment expertise Experience with automated analytics, including NLP, AI, and social network analysis Proficiency with data formats like XML, protobuf, Avro Experience with foreign language processing and multimedia analytics Familiarity with semantic data analytics and inference engines Knowledge of taxonomy and ontology design Experience with LDAP, cluster performance management tools (e.g., Nagios) Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field (may substitute 4 years of experience) Certifications: Hadoop/Cloud Certification preferred
Salary Range : $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 (Commensurate with experience)
Note: The above salary range is a guideline and represents a broad spectrum of potential compensation. We recognize that a candidate's unique experience and qualifications may justify compensation beyond this range. Therefore, we remain open to considering higher salary offers for exceptionally qualified candidates.

Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000 per hour
