PSCI-LIA, a fast-growing 8(a), SDVOSB, and woman-owned small business is seeking an experienced Senior Cloud Security Engineer in Columbia, SC. This position will be HYBRID in nature. The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will collaborate with Product Owners, Application Owners, Network and Security teams to design and deliver optimal solutions for large-scale app and infrastructure cloud solutions. Candidates should possess proficiency in both public and hybrid cloud models. Below is the job description for your reference.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure and apps with a focus on AWS and Azure Cloud.
  • Design and develop automation to build cloud security accelerators and IP.
  • Experience with Security Operations teams to build and maintain SIEM, SOAR, and XDR technology.
  • Analyze and resolve configuration issues in development, test, and production environments.
  • Familiar with major security compliance frameworks and building effective monitoring, logging, and auditing of production systems to ensure compliance with mandated compliance policies (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, PII, SOX, PCI, CMMC, CUI, etc.).
  • Experience implementing secure (zero trust) infrastructure in the cloud.
  • Security experience with state and local government customers
  • Open to Travel as needed for customer engagements.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Must hold AWS or Azure certification.
  • 5–10 years' experience in Information Security and Engineering.
  • Proven experience designing and maintaining infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
  • Expertise in Cloud Security design, operations, and automation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in documenting security tools, deployment configurations, incident reports, and related technical documentation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining Cloud VM-Series Palo Alto Firewalls in AWS and Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Prisma Cloud.
  • Skilled in Forescout deployment and management.
  • Proficient in Cisco Umbrella administration.
  • Extensive experience with Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Expertise in F5 Load Balancing and Firewall configurations.
  • Preferred Certifications include
    • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Microsoft Cybersecurity Architect (SC 100)
    • AWS Cloud Solutions Architect (AWS CSA)
    • Prisma Cloud Security Engineer (PCSE)
    • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA)
    • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
