Position Overview: We are currently seeking a full-time Civil/Municipal Engineer to sit in our Mason City office. Our team works with local communities on a wide range of civil, municipal, and environmental projects. We are looking for a Professional Engineer or Engineer in Training who would work with CADD Technicians, Construction Observers, Land Survey Chiefs, and office staff in various capacities. V&K BENEFITS • Benefits available 30 days following date of employment, includes: Medical, Dental, Vision, Short and Long Term Disability, plus additional supplemental insurances • Clothing allowance • 401k with company match • Paid Time Off and 9 paid holidays • Paid training and development on and off-site Main Duties and Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed technical engineering projects • Prepare plans and specifications for specific projects • Work with Construction Observers/Resident Technicians during all facets of Construction • Assist Project Manager in completing project within budget and on schedule • Client contact including attendance at council meetings • All other duties as assigned by Division Director Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering required • At least 5 years of civil engineering experience preferred/desired • Iowa PE license or EIT certification or ability to obtain either within 6 months preferred • Previous roadway, storm sewer, sanitary collection sewers and water distribution experience preferred • Strong written a verbal communication skills required.
