Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Compensation: $85,000-$130,000 base + bonus, 401k, 4 weeks PTO and more
Requirements:
- Civil Engineering degree
- 5+ years experience working as a Civil Engineer
- Utah PE license
- Land Development, Roadway, Infrastructure, Water/Wastewater project experience
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Grading, drainage, design background
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in land development, proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D, and 5+ years of professional experience. As a Professional Engineer (P.E.), you will play a crucial role in designing, planning, and overseeing various civil engineering projects, ensuring they meet all regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and manage complex civil engineering projects from conception to completion, including site development, infrastructure improvements, and environmental initiatives.
- Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant software to create detailed designs, plans, and specifications for projects.
- Conduct site investigations, surveys, and feasibility studies to assess project requirements and constraints.
- Perform engineering calculations and analyses to ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, contractors, and other engineers, to integrate various aspects of projects.
- Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and project schedules.
- Obtain necessary permits and approvals from regulatory agencies and local authorities.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and CAD technicians.
- Participate in client meetings and presentations to communicate project details, progress, and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure quality control and adherence to company standards throughout all project phases.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project success.
- Contribute to business development efforts by assisting in proposal preparation and client outreach.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in the state of employment
- 5+ years of professional experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant engineering software
