Civil Design Engineer

We are seeking a talented Civil Design Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will play an integral role in developing project designs and construction documents using AutoCAD. You will engage in a variety of civil-related tasks, including grading, drainage, and erosion control, while coordinating with project team members and maintaining communication with clients.

Responsibilities

• Develop project designs and construction documents using AutoCAD.
• Work on grading, drainage, erosion control, and other civil-related tasks.
• Coordinate with project team members and communicate with clients.
• Assist senior engineers in developing commercial and residential site plans.
• Conduct site visits and collaborate closely with project managers and contractors.

Essential Skills

• Civil engineering and civil design proficiency.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience in site design, stormwater management, and drainage.
• Understanding of Microstation and grading techniques.
• EIT certification.
• Land development and site development expertise.
• Drainage design for residential and commercial sites.
• Project management skills.
• Knowledge of Hydrocad and permitting processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• At least 3 years of civil design experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.
• Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

Work Environment

This position offers a hybrid work environment with flexibility to work from various office locations, including Naperville and Chicago. The schedule includes in-office work from Tuesday to Thursday, with remote work on Monday and Friday. Our team is composed of 10 members in Twin City, 6 in Des Moines, 3 in Naperville, and 2 in Wisconsin, providing a collaborative atmosphere. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $53.00/hr.
