About Our Client
A well-established real estate development firm is seeking a Civil Design Engineer to join their high-performing Construction & Design team based in Indianapolis. This entry-level position plays a critical role in supporting the successful execution of development projects by ensuring quality, constructability, and budget alignment in site design.
Job Description
- Support the design and development of site plans, including civil, landscape, pool, and retaining wall elements.
- Assist in reviewing construction documents for quality, completeness, aesthetics, and constructability.
- Collaborate with internal teams and consultants across disciplines (civil, structural, MEP, architectural, etc.).
- Help manage utility coordination, schedule tracking, and project budget takeoffs.
- Develop foundational skills in site development, design review, and construction analysis.
- Organize project meetings, track schedules, and maintain document workflows.

The Successful Applicant
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of related experience or completion of a structured internship program.
- Technical Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret construction and engineering plans.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook, and Acrobat. (AutoCAD knowledge preferred.)
- Soft Skills:
- Strong organizational and communication abilities.
- Capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
- Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to travel occasionally for project needs.
