At Crystal Finishing Systems, we're looking for a Chemical Engineer to take charge of our Anodize Division's wastewater treatment and chemical processes. This is a leadership role for someone who thrives on technical challenges, values safety and quality, and enjoys empowering a high-performing team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Oversee daily wastewater treatment and anodizing chemistry operations, including testing, data analysis, and corrective action
- Set maintenance priorities, lead quality checks, and ensure documentation and safety compliance are consistently met
- Lead and support chemical operators, lab staff, and collaborate across departments to maintain seamless operations
- Train, coach, and build a strong team culture that drives technical excellence
- Coordinate closely with Coatings and Scheduling Managers to align chemistry with production goals
- Provide insights, support continuous improvement, and represent Crystal Finishing with professionalism and pride
Qualifications
What You Bring to the Role: You're a seasoned chemical operations pro with a sharp eye for process and a passion for leadership. You bring precision, drive, and the confidence to lead people and processes with purpose.
- 3-5 years of experience in chemical or lab operations with team leadership responsibilities
- Bachelor's in Chemistry or equivalent experience preferred
- Certified in Waste Water Treatment - a must-have for keeping things clean and compliant
- Experience with sulfates treatment is a strong asset
- Familiarity with aluminum anodizing or paint processes is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving chops, clear communication, and an eye for organization
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with regular chemical exposure
