The Electrochemical cell engineer will work with the lead and senior engineers to establish tasks and priorities, while carrying out technical engineering responsibilities with some guidance. The individual is capable of assuming a lead role on projects and tasks of limited complexity and can offer suggestions to improve cell team processes. They are responsible for establishing timelines and resource needs for assigned projects and tasks, and for preparing technical documentation and reports tailored to multiple audiences. Additionally, the role requires cross-functional awareness and the ability to effectively partner and collaborate with other teams.
How you will do it: Assist in investigation of potential suppliers for Li Ion, Na Ion, UCaps, and other new technologies
Contribute to evaluation and comparison of Chemistry and Cell designs from potential suppliers
Assist in preparation of test plans, monitor testing, and assist with testing of cells
Interface with cell test team with respect to performing tests and collecting data
Analyze, summarize, and present test data, including graphical and illustrative tools
Contribute to cell teardowns with analytical analysis to document cell design and chemistry
Document, summarize, and present teardown evaluations
Contribute to the requirements analysis and validation planning activities specific to customer projects
Contribute to cross-functional teams working to identify the appropriate cell to meet customer requirements
Analyze and report on test data from cell suppliers
What we look for: Required: BS in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science with some industry experience (1-8 years)
MS in Chemistry, Electrochemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Materials Science with limited industry experience (0-3 years)
Preferred: Experience with Python preferred
