SUMMARY The Specialty Banking Deposit Representative is responsible for the boarding of new accounts for the bank's products and services to existing and new prospects. The Specialty Banking Deposit Representative is responsible for the new accounts and for providing support services function of the Specialty Banking Group (SBG) to the SBG Sales Industry and Relationship Managers. The Specialty Banking Deposit Representative is responsible for retaining and developing good commercial business relationships that lead to business checking accounts and other service products offered by the Bank. The Specialty Banking Deposit Representative assists management of the Group to ensure retention of existing relationships and growth of new relationships. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Opens new accounts and maintains existing accounts according to the established policies and procedures of the Bank. Consults with customers and prospects to identify products and services that will meet the customer/prospect financial objectives. Reviews and interprets legal documents such as court orders, letters of administration, and guardianship papers to ensure compliance with fiduciary responsibilities. Analyzes and interprets agreements related to the Contractor Retention Industry to support contract administration and ensure adherence to legal and regulatory standards. Manages property-related transactions and coordinates with Title and Escrow companies to facilitate smooth closings and resolve issues. Monitors and ensures compliance with Trust Account Regulations as set forth by the Department of Real Estate (DRE), Department of Financial Protection and Innovation (DFPI), and Department of Insurance (DOI). Sells and cross sells bank products and services to existing and potential customers. Participates in all Group functions necessary to contribute to the achievement of the Department's earnings and growth objective. Assists with the management of the Group's sales and service efforts to ensure retention of existing relationships and growth of new relationships. Pursues the appropriate follow up for new and existing relationships within the Groups Participates in sales meetings and training programs to obtain and refine product knowledge and selling skills. Ensures proper documentation requirements are met for all accounts maintained by the Specialty Banking Group Department. Utilizes Chexsystems and OFAC as a part of the new accounts opening procedures. Processes and maintains accurate CIP information. Actively participates in Products Knowledge and The Citizens Experience. Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, federal and state laws applicable to his or her job. Provides, presents, and promotes the Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers. Other duties as assigned. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and a minimum of 3-5 years of new accounts experience in a financial institution similar to ours. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. COMPUTER & SOFTWARE SKILLS Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS N/A OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES Demonstrates a thorough working knowledge of the Bank's established policies and procedures. Salary Range:$21.56 To $29.11 Hourly 40 hours per week.
