Property Overview The Conshohocken portfolio includes two of the region’s most dynamic commercial properties: Sora West – A transformative mixed-use campus featuring a 525,000 sq ft, 11-story office tower, a nine-story hotel, a 1,500-car parking garage, 35,000 sq ft of activated retail space, and a restored historic firehouse turned restaurant, all connected by a vibrant community plaza. Sora East (125 E Elm St) – A Class A headquarters facility fully leased to a diverse tenant base, located in the heart of Conshohocken’s highly desirable live–work–play corridor. Job Summary The Building Engineer will be responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and building systems across the Conshohocken portfolio. This role requires a strong technical foundation in HVAC and critical building systems, hands-on problem-solving skills, and the ability to ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for tenants and guests.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Oversee daily operations and maintenance of building systems across Sora West and Sora East. Operate, monitor, and adjust mechanical systems including HVAC, boilers, refrigeration, chilled water, emergency backup, electrical, and hot water systems. Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on base building and critical equipment to minimize downtime and tenant impact. Diagnose and correct system malfunctions; implement long-term solutions to maintain reliability. Install, repair, and maintain plumbing, piping, electrical controls, pumps, compressors, and motors. Support property management with tenant improvements, construction coordination, and vendor oversight. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as lighting replacement, painting, and minor suite repairs. Maintain accurate logs, complete work orders, and communicate with management and tenants on status of projects. Respond promptly to both emergency and non-emergency calls during and outside normal business hours as needed.
Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications strongly preferred. 5+ years of commercial building maintenance or engineering experience. Strong HVAC knowledge; certification strongly preferred. Valid driver’s license; may be required to obtain a Low-Pressure Black Seal license. Ability to perform physical tasks such as climbing, lifting, and carrying equipment. Excellent communication and customer service skills, with ability to work calmly under pressure. Self-motivated team player with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Interview Process Onsite interview (60–90 minutes) with the Property Manager. Virtual interview (30–60 minutes) with the HR Director prior to offer.
