Position Summary We are looking for a  Building Engineer  in property management who will be responsible for overseeing & supporting the maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of a property's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running and is looking for longevity with a great company. We manage multiple commercial properties in Michigan and are a full-service asset and property management firm providing property and asset management, project/construction management, development, and lease administration. This is a  hands-on role  where you will be required to support in various areas of property management, whether that's climbing a ladder to change a light bulb to speaking with tenants & more. Essential Duties and Responsibilities System Management:  Overseeing & supporting the safe and efficient operation of all building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC, and structural components. Maintenance and Repair:  Supporting & coordinating maintenance and repair activities, ensuring that all systems are functioning optimally. Compliance:  Ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards. Vendor Management:  Overseeing vendor relationships, negotiating contracts, and ensuring the quality of services provided. Emergency Response:  Developing and implementing emergency response plans for maintenance issues and system failures. Capital Project Management:  Assisting with the planning and execution of capital improvement projects related to building systems. Maintaining clear and effective communication with property management, other departments, and residents/tenants Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Technical Expertise:  Knowledge of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. We're not looking for you to be an expert but have some basic knowledge/experience. Problem-Solving Skills:  Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues and develop effective solutions. Ability to work in spontaneous or high pressure environments (ex: unexpected flooding, etc.) Compliance Knowledge:  Familiarity with relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards. Customer Service:  Ability to provide excellent service to residents, tenants, and other stakeholders. Education & Experience Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
