Position: Big Data Engineer Location: Austin, TX Duration: Contract
Job Description: Develop and implement geospatial applications using Java to enhance data analysis capabilities. Optimize application performance and scalability to handle increasing data volumes. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address their geospatial data needs. Document technical specifications and project progress for future reference. Contribute to the company's mission by delivering impactful geospatial solutions that benefit society. Utilize Oracle and PostgreSQL databases to manage and query large geospatial datasets efficiently. Ensure the integration of geospatial data with existing systems to support business objectives. Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality software development. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to geospatial applications and databases. Stay updated with the latest geospatial technologies and incorporate them into projects.
