Nisga'a CIOPS provides hands-on experienced services to civilian and DoD programs worldwide. Delivering highly skilled, cleared personnel who provide services on five continents for a portfolio of customers. Summary: The Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) Network Management System (NMS) Engineer is an on-site position located at Hanscom AFB, MA. The BITI NMS manages hardware and software systems used to oversee the infrastructure at Air Force bases worldwide, including layer 2 and layer 3 network switching, Core Nodes, Critical Distribution Nodes, and other network components. SolarWinds Enterprise Operations Consoles monitor regional instances of hardware and software. The primary role for this position is to support the BITI NMS capabilities at Hanscom AFB. The engineer will provide on-site and remote services for system architecture, solution design, performance audits, updates, documentation, data migration, site audits, technical account management, cybersecurity recommendations, and support for various Field Engineering Representatives. Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions: Core Tasks: Manage and maintain access to NMS system resources in accordance with DoD and AF directives. Manage NMS baseline configuration and coordinate changes through AF Cyber TIM/CAB processes. Work with AFIN Response Center to ensure proper routing, updating, and closing of NMS tickets. Support NMS users with configuration management, upgrades, and troubleshooting as a Tier 3 resource. Coordinate network changes and troubleshoot to support system functionality. Respond to user access issues and troubleshoot connectivity. Guide users in configuring connected devices for accurate monitoring and management. Ensure system compliance with TO/TCTO and guidance. Author processes for device configuration and management. Assist with emergency restoration at sites. Maintain a database of deployed systems, software versions, and configurations. Act as liaison between NMS PMO and operational units, coordinating with FERs. Some travel may be required. Risk & Compliance Management: Ensure compliance with security standards. Maintain operational readiness. Assist in risk assessments and mitigation strategies. Qualifications Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary staff. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong technical knowledge of network and systems infrastructure. Ability to work independently and in teams in mission-critical environments. Familiarity with DoD & USAF procedures and AFIN. Minimum Qualifications: Degree in a related field and at least 7 years of relevant experience, or 10 years of relevant experience. Experience supporting DoD Information Network, AFIN, or equivalent. IA Technician (IAT) Level II Certification. Current SECRET security clearance or higher. 1-3 years supporting network/infrastructure in medium-to-large data centers. 3-5 years with Windows Server administration. 3-5 years with SolarWinds or similar management software. 3-5 years with VMware, including building, maintaining, and troubleshooting. Certifications: MCSA, VMware CTA, SolarWinds Certified Professional. Experience with SQL databases. Ability to install, manage, troubleshoot Windows Servers, SQL Servers, and provide technical support.
