As a Backend Software Engineer focusing on hypervisors, you will play a pivotal role in creating impactful solutions for our customers while tackling challenging engineering problems inherent in large-scale distributed systems for both cloud and on-premise protection. In this position, you will have the chance to utilize your experience with large software system development to design, implement, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance Rubrik's innovative products. What You'll Do: Take full stack ownership for designing, implementing, and testing new features that protect our customers' virtual machine deployments. Troubleshoot customer and product test issues, delivering effective remedial solutions. Analyze both internal and field data to identify product improvement opportunities. Collaborate with partner teams, including Product Management and Support, to ensure high-quality outcomes. Experience You'll Need: A passion for working with complex distributed systems that serve enterprise customers. A degree (BS/MS/PhD) in Computer Science or a related field. A minimum of 2 years product development experience. Ability to identify scalable and elegant solutions for complex challenges. A strong interest in learning and adapting to new technologies. Proficiency in one or more programming languages: C++, Java, Go, Scala, or Python. Full stack development experience is a plus. Prior experience in distributed systems design and development is preferred. Familiarity with popular workloads, such as Virtual Machines, is a bonus. The salary range for this role is $152,400-$228,700 USD. In addition to a competitive salary, this position is eligible for bonus potential, equity, and comprehensive benefits.
