Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud infrastructure. In this role, you will be responsible for managing AWS services and delivering reliable cloud solutions to support our business and application needs. You will collaborate closely with DevOps, Security, and Application teams to ensure high availability, performance, and security of cloud-hosted systems.
Key Responsibilities: Design and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS best practices
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation
Manage and optimize AWS resources (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, ECS/EKS, VPC, IAM, etc.)
Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting using CloudWatch or third-party tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus, ELK)
Ensure security best practices are followed (IAM roles, security groups, KMS, patch management)
Perform regular backups, disaster recovery, and failover strategies
Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and provide frst0line support for cloud services
Collaborate with DevOps/Development teams on CI/CD pipeline integration
Monitor cloud usage and implement cost-optimization strategies
Maintain documentation of cloud architecture, procedures, and runbooks
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Min 3 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with strong AWS expertise
Prior experience working in government/public sector required
Proficiency in core AWS services: EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, RDS, Lambda, Route 53 , etc
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) – Terraform or CloudFormation
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (CI/CD pipelines, Git, Jenkins, CodeBuild, etc.)
Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, VPN, firewalls, load balancers)
Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell
Experience with Linux system administration and/or Windows servers
Knowledge of containerization (Docker, ECS, or Kubernetes/EKS)
Preferred Certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional
AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional
Any relevant certifications in DevOps, Security, or Kubernetes
