Overview We’re hiring an Automation Engineer to support the design, development, and commissioning of automated manufacturing equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in automation and controls, including PLCs, vision systems, and robotics, and who is comfortable supporting system testing, validation, and technical documentation. You’ll play a key role in delivering reliable automation solutions while ensuring systems meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities: Design and develop automation systems for manufacturing equipment. Program and troubleshoot PLCs, Vision Systems, HMIs and other control systems. Conduct system testing, validation, and commissioning of automated equipment including FATs, SATs, & process validations Develop and maintain technical documentation including design specs, software & hardware specs, and user manuals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field. Proven experience in automation and controls engineering within a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in PLC programming and HMI development (e.g. Rockwell Studio 5000) Experience with robotics (e.g. Fanuc or Staubli) and vision systems (e.g. Keyence or Cognex). Experience with AutoCAD, Solidworks Experience with Computer System Validation (CSV) Strong understanding of electrical and control systems, including sensors, actuators, and communication protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of Industry 4.0 and IoT technologies.
