Position Responsibilities Design and install electrical equipment and automation systems to improve manufacturing processes in plant. Predominately intended to work directly with Manufacturing and Project engineering teams to improve, automate, and innovate a variety of work centers. Fluent skills in programming including ladder logic, structure text, and function block. Understand how to read and draw electrical schematics. Autocad experience is favored. Work with and assist in developing control technicians and maintenance staff. Assists all departments on improving systems of production control, standard operating procedures, safety and quality. Ability to create and order project’s bill of materials through various vendors. Recommends and implements improvements to equipment. Assists in coordination of the new equipment purchase, installation, and training. Performs regular (daily) assignments, individual project assignments and participation on project teams created to study, prepare recommendations and implement solutions to various equipment related issues and problems. Gathers information from a variety of sources, studies problems, breaks them down into component parts and recommends solutions to coordinate elements by applying advanced analytical techniques and methods from a variety of disciplines including mathematics, science and engineering. Provides engineering technical support to both maintenance and production as needed. This includes (but is not limited to) training, troubleshooting equipment, rebuilds, and repairs. Conducts investigations and analysis directed toward equipment utilization and operations necessary to meet customer specifications. Assists in developing systems and controls to ensure a safe work environment and compliance with quality standards. Ensures that equipment, processes and procedures are directed toward achieving these standards. Webco has determined this position involves safety-sensitive job duties and will be considered a safety-sensitive position for purpose of the Oklahoma Medical Marijuana and Patient Protection Act (“The Unity Bill.”) effective August 29th, 2019. Qualifications
Required Education and Skills B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Machine Programming, Mechatronics Or equivalent work experience Preferred 2+ years’ experience. Proficient computer skills in MS Office. Computer assisted design (CAD) proficiency a plus. Knowledge in Rockwell software (control logix, factory talk view), AutoCAD, Simens, and PC based controls. Experience with Rockwell and/or Siemens PLCs, HMI and AutoCAD Excellent organization and planning skills with the ability to plan over a 6-12month time span. Able to manage multiple projects at one time. Must be creative, inquisitive, analytical, and detail oriented with a mechanical and electrical aptitude. Ability to apply engineering and technical/electrical knowledge sufficient to render original and ingenious advice or service and make judgments involving engineering problems. Physics first, data driven mind set. Field and panel electrical wiring (oversea and also perform the work) Sensors and electrical equipment installation Committed to high standards of integrity, including respect and value for individual team member’s unique talents, skills, and individual qualities. Ability to quickly learn and work independently, as well as in project team environment. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including technical writing skills in order to write technical reports, procedures, and manuals for internal documentation. Typical Physical Demands: Must be able to work a minimum of 8 hours per day on a regular basis. May require additional hours of work to support operations, maintenance, and projects. This job will be a mixture of in office and on the floor work. Requires full range of body motion to include: lifting, bending, twisting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, stooping, and squatting. Position requires frequent walking and/or standing on concrete floor while wearing steel-toed shoes. May walk up to two (2) miles per shift while performing essential duties. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. May require unassisted lifting of a variety of objects from various positions, which range in weight from 5 to 50 pounds with an average weight of 34-37 pounds. Utilizes a variety of hand positions such as turning and twisting. Since the manufacturing plant operates around-the-clock, may often work late shifts and may be called at any hour to deal with emergencies. This could mean going to the plant to resolve the problem, regardless of the hour, and staying until the situation is under control. Dealing with production workers as well as supervisors when working under the pressure of production deadlines or emergency situations can be stressful. The job is fast paced and the ability to deal with stress is essential.
