Volt is immediately hiring an Audio Mechanical Design Engineer in San Jose, CA.

As an  Audio Mechanical Design Engineer  you will:

Develop micro-plastic mechanical solutions for audio modules Use CAD tools to model and simulate speaker enclosures and acoustic meshes Build and test prototypes to validate acoustic and mechanical performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams (electrical, acoustic, industrial design) from concept to mass production Ensure designs meet performance, manufacturability, and cost targets Conduct mechanical and acoustic tests using data-driven methods (e.g., DOE, mold flow analysis) Establish test systems and analyze results for continuous improvement

This is a full-time, Direct Hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Bachelor's degree (BS) in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience. At least 4 years of relevant product design and development experience, with a focus on micro-speakers in high-volume consumer electronics. Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), statistical tolerance analysis techniques, functional dimensioning, geometric tolerancing, and 3D/2D CAD.

Pay Range: $160,000 - $185,000 per year.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
