Full-time opportunity supporting a leading manufacturing solutions provider specializing in machining processes and cutting tool optimization. This role is ideal for a technically skilled engineer with hands-on expertise in tooling, CNC processes, and lean manufacturing principles. The position focuses on improving tool life, machine uptime, and overall manufacturing performance for major industrial clients.

Role Summary:
The Application Engineer will collaborate with large-scale manufacturers to evaluate tooling performance, identify issues, and implement solutions that enhance production efficiency. Success in this role requires technical acumen, problem-solving ability, and strong communication skills to work effectively with vendors, engineers, and production teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and optimize tools based on application needs and machining parameters
  • Troubleshoot tool life and performance challenges, recommending corrective actions
  • Analyze customer data to suggest improvements or new tool designs
  • Collaborate with vendors and manufacturers to manage tooling processes and resolve production issues
  • Lead initiatives for tool life improvements, quality enhancements, and productivity gains
  • Support all tooling, process, and manufacturing engineers during production meetings
  • Track tool efficiency and provide status updates for ongoing projects

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent understanding in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with cutting tools, metalworking, and process design
  • Expertise in various milling cutting tools (indexable, solid carbide, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of materials, surface finishes, and treatments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and blueprint reading
  • 2+ years of experience with CNC machinery and tooling

Schedule:

  • Monday Friday (Day shift)
  • 8-hour or 10-hour shifts
