Our client, a well-established CNC manufacturing company in Lake County, IL, is seeking a skilled Application Engineer to join their growing team. Key Responsibilities

• Perform field service at customer facilities to maintain and repair CNC tool & cutter grinding machines.
• Work extensively with Straustak machines and Numroto software.
• Provide on-site, phone, and email support, including troubleshooting, answering maintenance inquiries, and assisting with part identification.
• Install new CNC grinding machines at customer locations.
• Travel up to 50% within the USA, Canada, and Mexico to support customer operations.

Qualifications Required:

• Experience with Straustak machines (as operator or technician)
• Proficiency in Numroto software
• CNC grinding machine troubleshooting skills (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic)
• Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and technical drawings
• Strong hands-on mechanical aptitude

Qualifications Preferred:

• Experience traveling to customer sites for technical support
• Excellent customer service and communication skills
• Basic understanding of electrical and fluid power circuits
