Job Title This role assists GSA (Global Strategic Account) Managers by providing technical support to help sell company products. Serves as a conduit between the GSA Account Managers, field, and other applicable internal departments. This support includes providing technical information on company products and the application of these products, assistance with custom product features and pricing, ancillary product selection and pricing, and quotation of 3rd party equipment related to company products. Mentors and trains entry level Application Engineers. Responsibilities Develops clear, concise, and technically sound tailored solutions for customer review and acceptance based on customer requirements and/or RFP's, ensuring proper scope and required technical specifications are met. Applies Quote Configurator tool to provide comprehensive quote support. Reviews custom equipment orders and provides technical instruction throughout the order workflow. Provides applications sales support and formal presentations to sales representatives and end users during factory visits and customer events, as requested. May assist with post sale technical support. Provides product support to Offering Managers. Participates in new product development projects. Participates in mentoring and training activities with Associate Application Engineers. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering required; degree in Electrical Engineering preferred (or equivalent combination of education and experience). 3+ years of relevant experience, with 1+ years of experience in technical scope review and formal proposal development Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail. Ability to work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in MS Office. Proficient and fluent in English including technical terminology. Understanding of commercial infrastructure design objectives, performance factors, and physical requirements. Ability to reach and interpret schematics and one-line diagrams. Excellent problem-solving skills. Physical & Environmental Demands Standard office environment. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
