Our team comprises diverse backgrounds, including applied machine learning engineers focused on ML and LLM, as well as experienced distributed systems engineers. We seek candidates with applied machine learning experience and strong software engineering skills. Your role will involve leveraging the latest advances in machine learning and software engineering to understand user queries and intents, retrieve and rank documents, generate helpful answers, and work on data generation, evaluation, and safety. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience At least 2 years of industry experience in collaborative environments Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX for training and deploying deep learning models Ability to translate product requirements into modeling and engineering tasks Proficiency in at least two programming languages such as C/C++, Go, Python, or Java Preferred Qualifications Advanced degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Data Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience Experience analyzing search ranking and relevance requirements Experience building machine-learned models for search relevance, ranking, and query understanding At Apple, compensation includes base pay within a range, opportunities for growth, and additional benefits such as stock programs, medical coverage, retirement plans, discounts, educational reimbursements, and potential bonuses or relocation support. The base pay range for this role is $139,500 to $258,100, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
