Unis is a leading third-party logistics (3PL) provider dedicated to transforming supply chain operations through the use of cutting-edge technology. As we expand our automation capabilities and scale our infrastructure, we are seeking a highly skilled AI Automation & Robotics Engineer to help lead innovation across our warehouse and transportation systems.
The AI Automation & Robotics Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining AI-integrated robotic systems and intelligent automation solutions across Unis operations. This role requires a blend of expertise in artificial intelligence, robotics engineering, and logistics automation to drive greater operational efficiency, scalability, and system intelligence.
- Design, deploy, and maintain AI-driven robotics and automation solutions in warehouse and fulfillment environments.
- Integrate machine learning algorithms with robotic systems for tasks such as object detection, path optimization, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate with IT, Operations, and Engineering teams to identify automation opportunities and translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Develop and implement Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for repetitive tasks across logistics, inventory, and transportation operations.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance to ensure consistent operation and uptime.
- Lead pilot projects involving AGVs, robotic arms, drones, and other autonomous technologies.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and vendors to support continuous innovation.
- Produce training materials and technical documentation for internal teams and end users.
Requirements:Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in AI automation, robotics integration, or industrial automation, ideally within logistics or manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in Python and frameworks such as ROS (Robot Operating System), OpenCV, TensorFlow, or related tools.
- Experience with PLCs, sensors, control systems, and warehouse automation platforms.
- Familiarity with RPA tools such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere, or Blue Prism is a plus.
- Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP integration.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data and systems performance.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
