What you'll be doing:
This role will deliver innovative solutions to enhance our middleware designs for our internal customers. From deployment to maintenance of the applications, this role will enable the communication between insurance applications on diverse platforms with multiple interfaces.
On any given day, you'll:
Manage BM Control-M workload automation (WLA) system, promote jobs, and monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment using Azure DevOps.
Configure and maintain middleware platforms such as WebSphere, Wildfly\JBoss, Apache Tomcat, and similar.
Maintain documentation for systems, procedures, processes, and configurations.
Design, develop, and support middleware solutions to facilitate integration between applications and systems.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to middleware components.
Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure reliable and secure integration.
Maintain and optimize cloud resources (Azure and AWS).
Implement automation and scripting for deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks.
Provide technical support and guidance during application deployments and upgrades.
Manage SAST\SCA solutions and integrations into the CI/CD pipelines.
Implement software and system security best practices across environments and pipelines and ensure solutions comply with internal standards.
Manage SVN and Azure DevOps git repositories for the organization.
Here's what we expect Bachelor's degree in related field (e.g., business, finance, or technical) or equivalent experience required.
Three years of hands-on experience administering and designing middleware solutions.
Insurance industry related experience preferred.
Experience in deploying clustered, highly available middleware platforms.
Experience with DevOps, pipelines, and deployments.
Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills.
Java a plus.
Windows/Linux operating systems administration experience.
Experience working with containerization/orchestration technologies.
Must have quality team building skills, positive attitude, detail oriented, self-motivated, and strong project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Required Qualifications:
Experience with BMC Control-M WLA administration
Proficiency in scripting languages (specifically PowerShell).
Experience with platforms such as WebSphere, Wildfly\JBoss, and Apache Tomcat.
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins and Azure DevOps).
Experience with SVN and Azure DevOps git repositories
Proven experience with middleware technologies and enterprise integration patterns.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and system architecture.
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS and Azure)
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Familiarity with API management.
Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
Experience with security and compliance in cloud environments.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
