Job Opportunity At General Dynamics Mission Systems

As a mechanical engineer for GDMS, you'll be a member of a cross-functional team responsible for supporting the design and development of a new subsea capability. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field. Also requires 5+ years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience. Clearance requirements include a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance and U.S. citizenship due to the nature of the work performed within our facilities.

Responsibilities for this position include:

• Strong proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
• Experience designing subsea products and systems
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
• Collaborative, creative thinker with experience leading complex projects
• Strong communication skills with ability to write technical papers and proposals

This position is fully on-site while you will be a part of the Florham Park Engineering Group. Target salary range: USD $126,701.00/Yr. - USD $132,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
