The Model Based Systems Engineer supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. The candidate will:

· Drive culture and adoption of MBSE throughout the organization by promoting the use of MBSE and providing training and support to the team.

· Develop standard work and business operating procedures related to MBSE and system architecture deployment.

· Create formal processes for applying MBSE within the program.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams by working closely with various engineering disciplines and departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated system design and digital environment.

· Integrate Model-based Systems Engineering Principles and Requirements into digital environments across the enterprise.

· Develop and manage system architectures, interfaces, and requirements using MBSE tools. This involves creating models using languages like SysML to represent the system's structure, behavior, and various functional and non-functional requirements.

· Communicate complex engineering technical information to team members of various backgrounds and disciplines.

· Help establish and maintain the Technical Baseline for a Command and Control (C2), and Research, Development, and Test (RDT) Operations Center.

Qualifications - External

Basic Requirements:

· Must have 5, or more, years of systems engineering experience

· Must have strong knowledge of systems engineering frameworks (e.g. DoDAF, UAF, TOGAF)

· Must have strong knowledge of modeling languages (e.g. SySML, UML)

· Must have experience using model-based SE tools (DOORs, Cameo, Rhapsody, etc.)

· Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in IT or any STEM related field

This position is expected to pay $130,000 - $145,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
