divh2Accounts Payable Specialist/h2pThe Accounts Payable Specialist reports to the Director, Corporate Controller, and is responsible for overseeing accounts payable transactions for multiple properties. The position involves ensuring accuracy in financial processes, coordinating with various departments, and seeking improvements in efficiency. The role requires handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and collaborating with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Experience in accounts payable with a focus on customer service setting is necessary. The individual is expected to assist with team collaboration, participate in process improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with internal controls./ppResponsibilities include:/pulliPerform the day-to-day processing of all accounts payable transactions for multiple properties./liliReview invoices and statements to ensure all information is accurate, including proper coding of payables./liliCoordinate with personnel with regards to purchase orders./liliResolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal teams, including performing vendor reconciliations./liliReview vendor onboarding documentation and vendor changes and ensure accurate data entry in Yardi./liliPerform weekly check runs, ensuring accurate and timely execution of payments./liliAssist with reconciliation between third party payment processor (Paymode) and Yardi./liliGenerate metric reporting./liliInvestigate and identify solutions to enhance process efficiencies from invoice approval through payment processing./liliParticipate in special projects as required./liliPrepare, issue and file 1099s at year end./liliAssist in responding to audit requests./liliIssue stop payments from banks and reissue checks./liliRespond to year-end audit requests from vendors accountants./liliReview of expense reimbursements./li/ulpWhat success looks like includes:/pulliAbility to build strong working relationships with vendors and colleagues./liliProcess invoices in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution of discrepancies with vendors and internal departments./liliMeet or exceed key performance indicators and targets./liliEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures as well as regulatory requirements./liliContribute to the overall financial health and success of ESRT./li/ulpRequired skills/abilities include:/pulliExceptional written and oral communication skills./liliOutstanding customer service skills./liliAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment./liliExcellent analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills./liliStrong proficiency in MS Office (Excel and Word)./li/ulpEducation and experience:/pulli5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable role required./liliYardi software experience preferred./liliExperience with process improvement and automation preferred./li/ulpPhysical requirements include:/pulliProlonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer./liliMust be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times./li/ulpWhat you can expect:/pulliAt ESRT, like our tenants, our employees come from everywhere.
