Basic Qualifications: Final semester/trimester student or graduate (within the past 24 months) of an undergraduate/postgraduate degree. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a relevant discipline. Strong object-oriented design and coding skills in C/C++ and/or Java, preferably on a UNIX or Linux platform. Knowledge of Perl or other scripting languages is a plus. Experience with distributed systems, algorithms, and relational databases. Familiarity with optimization mathematics (linear programming, nonlinear optimization). Excellent communication skills for articulating technical challenges and solutions. Able to deal effectively with ambiguous problems and think abstractly.
