Sigma Defense's Transport Network Services (TNS) team is seeking a charismatic Senior Network Engineer to to backfill the vacant TNS Lead Technical Engineer position to provide seamless continuity in leadership of the supported mission, the TNS team, and government leadership. This engineer should have the ability to provide guidance, strategic planning, and represent the TNS team and their endeavors as the central subject matter expert and manager of physical and talent resources to ensure the success of the team's future endeavors.
The TNS Lead Technical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the team's efforts of developing, engineering, and testing network configurations, systems-monitoring, routine preventative maintenance, and site upgrades and integrations at customer locations. They will coordinate and facilitate the engineering efforts to configure, manage, and evaluate multi-protocol network elements for effective end-to-end communications.

Requirements
10-15 years of relevant experience.
Ability to conduct in-depth log analysis and root-cause isolation.
CCNP is preferred.
Ability to travel worldwide and to some austere environments (Travel will be no longer than 2 months at a time; multiple trips possible in a calendar year).
Demonstrated proficiency in layer 2 switching and layer 3 routing; designing of complex routing and switching schemes to support changing environments.
Deep understanding of and hands on experience with Cisco IOS, Cisco Firewalls and networking technologies is preferred.
Demonstrated proficiency in EIGRP,OSPF, STP, VTP, ACLs, and Layer 3 tunnels and understands how to monitor network devices to perform fault and root cause analysis.
Experience with Cisco, switches, routers, cryptographic devices, VPN and VPN client.
Experience with supporting IP services to connect to NIPRNET/SIPRNET (IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, BGP, etc.).
Ability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions.
Experience with security documentation and accreditation life cycles is preferred.
Understanding and working knowledge of BGP is preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; excellent interpersonal abilities with a focus on teamwork and customer service.
Strict attention to detail.
Strong organization, facilitation, and time management skills.
Ability to multi-task effectively, prioritize, and execute against multiple priorities.
Mandatory Certifications: DoD IAT 8570 (CCNA/CCNP Sect+).
Personnel Clearance Level: Candidate must possess or have the ability to obtain an active TS/SCI security clearance or higher.
Clearance will be sponsored for the right candidate.
Education Requirements: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Information Technology or related field of study.
Essential Job Duties (not all inclusive): Manage TNS & TNS-B projects and timelines.
Manage/review/update tasks on GitLab.
Support SATOPS as back up for AS-Lead .
Approve timecards/PTO for TNS section.
Maintain and track inventory for TNS installs (tools, consumables).
Review and follow processes for all CM related documentation submitted under TNS section: ECR, DR, Test plans, RTS, etc.
Attend following meetings:
Weekly APM sync
ECR/DR reviews
ISR Site Sync - Update slides Tuesday mornings
Bi-weekly ASEC site sync - Update section meeting notes
B3IGS Engineering Sync
DISA AISR-DT Block 3 Installation Meeting
Submit Weekly Status reports to Network Capability Lead.
Submit Monthly Status reports to ASEC Site Lead.
Create/Maintain/update documentation: VDD, Baselines, ICDs, Diagrams etc.
Salary Range: $90,000- $150,000 annually.
