Job Title: Welding Coordinator
Job Description
The primary focus is on the development and implementation of a comprehensive, standardized welding program tailored to the plant’s three core value streams: Carriages, Attachments, and Cylinders. This role will involve designing an airtight framework that establishes clear guidelines, best practices, and streamlined processes for all welding operations across these areas. The objective is to ensure consistency, efficiency, and quality in weld practices while aligning with production goals and safety standards. Responsibilities
Perform welding operative procedures and WPS. Cooperate with the production engineering department to improve Welding Process Technologies. Handle Welding Process Qualification and Welders Qualification. Address suppliers' welding issues. Analyze welding and metallurgical problems. Collaborate with the Quality/Engineering Departments to verify the adequacy of welding AWS or ISO 3834-2 processes ensuring correct execution. Develop and document welding procedures that comply with AWS or ISO standards. Implement robust quality assurance measures, including regular inspections, to verify compliance with AWS or ISO 3834. Optimize processes by collaborating closely with the production engineering department to analyze current welding processes and identify opportunities for optimization. Conduct thorough investigations to identify the root causes of welding and metallurgical problems. Essential Skills
Proficiency in welding engineering. Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) License/Certificate. 3+ years of weld engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of weld robotics programming experience (Fanuc preferred) with the ability to program from scratch. Experience with weld robots and physically Mig welding. Quality experience including root cause analysis PFMEA, PPAP, APQP, AWS, ISO 9001, 8D, A3, and 5 Whys'. Metallurgical process experience. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a Technical Discipline. Familiarity with ISO and AWS Quality standards. Certified Welding Educator Certification (CWE) is a plus. Work Environment
This is a fully on-site position with the 1st shift from 7:30 am to 4:15 pm, averaging 40 hours per week. Occasionally, there may be straight time work on weekends, though this is very rare. The work environment is climate-controlled, and you will be working alongside 2 other weld engineers and 1 weld engineering technician. Pay and Benefits
