Weapons Systems Engineer, Senior

Responsibilities:
Provide resources with the knowledge and experience to efficiently and effectively deliver systems engineering capability in support of the acquisition process. Provide knowledge and experience to support the following activities for armament systems; material solution analysis, technology, engineering, and manufacturing development, production and deployment, and operation and support. Plan and execute technical reviews and assessments (e.g., System Requirements Review, Technology Readiness Assessment) and documentation development (e.g., Systems Engineering Plan, Risk Management Plan). Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering weapon systems. Primary Duties include: Assist with software defined radio (SDR) procurement effort. Experience with waveforms, NSA certification, SDR design preferred. Assist with common Flight Safety System (cFSS) project as needed, to include CDRL review of test plans and procedures and test reports Education and Experience: Undergraduate engineering degree from an ABET-accredited college. Master's degree with fifteen (15) years of professional experience or Ph.D. and five (5) years of professional experience Preferences: Experience with Systems Engineering and/or Flight Test Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours. Other Position Requirements: Proof of U.S. Citizenship is a requirement for this position. Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation. Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance by date of hire. Must be able to travel (est. 25%).
