Water Resources | Dam Engineer

Job Description
Fuss & O’Neill is seeking a Water Resource | Dam Engineer to join our growing Water and Natural Resources team! This is an exciting opportunity to take on impactful work focused on watershed management, dam safety, hydrologic/hydraulic modeling, and urban stormwater systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project managers with modeling and design for water and natural resource projects
- Conduct hydrologic analysis of watersheds and delineation of catchments
- Perform hydraulic evaluations of culverts, bridges, streams, and riverine systems
- Contribute to design of dam repairs, dam removals, and stormwater treatment systems
- Assist with fieldwork and site assessments
- Write technical reports and ensure quality deliverables
- Participate in QA/QC process
- Mentor and train junior level staff
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Environmental, or related field)
- At least 4+ years of relevant working experience, consulting experience preferred
- EIT preferred (or ability to obtain within one year)
- Experience with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, HydroCAD, and other modeling software
- Familiarity with PCSWMM, StormCAD, and Civil3D a plus
- Strong written communication skills with emphasis on technical report writing
- Dam-related project experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
