VIS Tooling Engineer (Assembly & Automation)

Ford Motor Company is looking to hire a Full-Time Final Assembly Vendor Interface Specialist (VIS) / Tooling Engineer for all New Model Programs. Job location will be split between the Tooling Vendors Facilities and Ford Offices in Dearborn. The Vendor Interface Specialist will work directly with the Tooling Suppliers in leading the Design, Build, Buyoff, and Shipment of the Tooling Systems to the Plants.
Minimum Qualifications: BSc Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial OR Electrical) At least five (5) years' experience with Underbody/Upperbody Production Tooling Systems, low and high-volume assembly processes, and Assembly Production Facilities Preferred Qualifications: Data driven with good problem-solving and Project Management skills Exemplary written and oral communication skills Strong interpersonal skills Passion for innovation with manual, semi-auto, and fully automated tooling systems Knowledge of robotic automation and processes using vision systems Knowledge of Global Vehicle Operations Structures Standards (GVOSS), Teamcenter (TCE), PFMEA/MFMEA, Safety Risk Assessments, and Tooling Buyoffs Must support onsite meetings/buyoffs at Tooling Vendors You may not check every box, or your experience may look a little different from what we've outlined, but if you think you can bring value to Ford Motor Company, we encourage you to apply!
