Description: Engineer to lead the development and automation of Design Verification Plans (DVPs) for propulsion systems, including internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and electric drivetrains. This role will focus on streamlining validation processes, integrating automated tools, and ensuring robust testing coverage across all propulsion components and systems. Key Responsibilities: Develop and maintain comprehensive DVPs for propulsion systems, ensuring alignment with program requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, testing, software, controls, and calibration) to define validation strategies and test coverage. Automate DVP creation and tracking using tools such as Excel VBA, Python, or specialized validation software. Automate test maneuver, identify test patterns using tools such as Excel VBA, Python, or specialized validation software. Integrate test results and feedback into DVPs to support continuous improvement and issue resolution. Support the development of automated reporting systems for test status, KPIs, and issue tracking. Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards for propulsion system validation. Participate in design reviews and provide input on testability and validation planning. Maintain documentation and version control of DVPs throughout the product lifecycle Requirements: Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in propulsion system development, testing, or validation. Strong understanding of propulsion system components (e.g., engines, motors, transmissions, batteries). High level knowledge of propulsion system architectures Experience with DVP&R processes and tools. Proficiency in automation tools such as Python, Excel VBA, or similar scripting languages. Proficiency in simulation and testing tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, dSpace HIL, INCA Basic understanding of MATLAB simulation models Familiarity with data acquisition systems and test equipment. Working knowledge of OBD Standards, CAN/LIN protocol Experience with hybrid and electric propulsion systems. Knowledge of ALM systems Experience with model-based systems engineering.
